Departed from 1966, departed from childhood, departed from earth, departed from the original image. These images are a selection from a series of 50 images. They are fragmentations and distortions of an original vintage photograph of a young child from October 1966. The imagery that has been generated evokes various emotions and feelings. In some instances, the images are unsettling yet have a dream-like feel, some have a simple colour palette with a painterly quality and others transport you to an almost sci-fi like world. The final set of images offer reminders of a being inside a womb, others convey a real sense of unease and horror.
